GAS Turboexpander

ENERGY RECOVERY UP TO 50 kW

Our turboexpander is an innovative and autonomous energy source, allowing the recovery of energy associated with the decompression of significant flows of natural gas, in the order of thousands of Sm3/h. This solution, certified ATEX Zone 1 and PED, is ideally suited for use in reduction and measurement stations on gas pipelines. The energy produced depends on the actual flow rate of gas passing through the line.

This feature makes the energy produced dispatchable on demand, facilitating the optimal integration with other renewable energy sources, in a microgrid context, or for integration with the national grid.

The turboexpander has a compact and robust design, offering high power density. This makes it also suitable for retrofitting existing stations. Its flexibility allows installation in various configurations, contributing to the modernization and optimization of the energy management of existing structures, improving their performance and sustainability, with minimal modification and maintenance.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Our technology, considering, for the sake of example, the capacity to generate 400 MWh of electricity per year, translates into a saving of 160 tons of CO2 annually.

This environmental impact is comparable to the CO2 absorbed by 7,300 trees, covering an area of about 21 hectares. This innovation makes a significant contribution to environmental sustainability.

ECONOMIC IMPACT

TANGIBLE SAVINGS

From an economic perspective, using our system can lead to significant savings. With 400 MWh energy generation, savings can be estimated in the order of tens of thousands of euros per year (varying with the current price of electricity).

Additional potential benefits are linked to TEEs (Energy Efficiency Titles) or other forms of remuneration. All this allows for a very fast return on investment.
